But do not require porn.
Check this article to plan your next trip. At the time of this article, each of the following countries has a sac advisor rating of level one. In other words, travelers should exercise normal precautions. So, without further ado, here are the top five solo travel destinations for 2024.
1. Seychelles
As a group of 115 islands located just north of Madagascar, the sovereign African country of Seychelles is home to some of the largest seabird colonies in the world, as well as the Aldabra giant tortoise. The country is safe, and temperatures rarely dwell outside of the 75—to 85-degree range. English is one of the official languages.
It is a very attractive option for the solo traveler. The only reason this beautiful country falls to number five is that it takes a little more effort to get to Seychelles compared to the other locations, but it is well worth it.
2. North Macedonia
It is located just north of Greece. North Macedonia is a landfill with rivers, lakes, and mountains, as well as some unique architecture, diverse cultures, and ethnic groups—in other words, something for everyone. Temperatures range from the 30s in January to the 70s in July, so if you like the crisp fall feeling, it’s the place for you.
North Macedonia might be right up your alley. The official language of North Macedonia. is Macedonian, but English is gaining popularity. Particularly amongst the country’s youth, so chances are you’ll be able to get even if you flunked out of your high school Macedonian class.
3. Croatia
Croatia is located north and northwest of Bosnia. And across the sea from northern Italy. While it’s a relatively young nation-state, it’s also an ancient nation. Croatia was a formidable kingdom in the 10th century, and you’ll find reminders of that era throughout your travels.
Like North Macedonia, Croatia’s temperature ranges between 30 degrees and 70 degrees depending on the time of year. While Croatian is the official language of the country, most citizens are bilingual, with over 80 percent of the population speaking English.
4. Bolivia
Because it is surrounded by tourist destination powerhouses such as Brazil, Peru, and Argentina, Bolivia is often overlooked as a country ideal for solo travel. But Bolivia has a lot to offer. Lake Titicaca and the Andes Mountains provide many opportunities for outdoor adventures. Combine that with unique and beautiful salt flats, and you can have days of excitement.
The year-round average temperature in Bolivia ranges from 65 degrees to 90 degrees. Depending on elevation and the time of year, remember that the seasons are opposite in the southern hemisphere. Brush up on your Spanish because English is not commonly spoken.
5. Iceland
Iceland is located in the North Atlantic Ocean between North America and Europe. Known as the land of fire and ice, you can find volcanoes, glaciers, black sand, beaches, and geysers. And if you’re missing the rugged terrain of New Zealand, Iceland comes close. Also, though it seems so far away, Iceland is as easy to get to as the Bahamas. English is commonly spoken, and there are adventures galore.
It is a truly magical place, so that is my top five list for solo travel destinations in 2024. These locations were selected because no quarantine is required, they’re relatively safe, and English is spoken for the most part.
